"I have not downloaded an MP3 file yet, nor I plan to. I am sure there will
be good music released on web based MP3 files, but not for me. I want the
hard copy in my hand if someone wants my money."
It's funny you say that...
I'm 25. How I became enamored with 78's is a strange question but here I
am. Many people in my "age group" think in this exact way. Consequently,
we blur moral codes and just download what we want illegally. Today, the
tech savvy can find almost any song they desire via this complex system of
tubes but there is something to be said for owning the 78.
On the topic of rap music, in the brief time I managed a restaurant, if my
employees arrived on time they could destroy my respect for them with rap
music. However! If they were late, they were punished with hot jazz.
Amusingly, while listening to some Bennie Moten, an employee recognized
Jimmy Rushing's voice and told me his great grandfather enjoyed listening
to him.
