Hello Again All.
Found another couple of mystery records, this time by Don Rico with his
Famous Ladies Orchestra. Were they really famous or did Don Rico have
delusions of grandeur. The labels say they were recorded at The Permarec
Studios, 19 Lisle Street, W. C. 2. The labels are quite posh looking with
black lettering on a gold background with right angled blue lines at the top
r/h side. One side is called Cafe Vienna (composer Vacek) Vocal Refrain by
Sara Preece.

As far as I can tell these records are from 1935. Did Don Rico and Sara
Preece go on to make names for themselves or did they disappear into
obscurity. Both records have tax stamps (Chappell, Prowse etc.) so I assume
they were sold commercially somewhere.
