Pete Rugolo was a standout composer and big band arranger who most famously worked in the Stan Kenton organization. He also wrote many television theme songs including "The Fugitive" and "Run for Your Life." He was also instrumental (no pun intended) at the start of Harry Belafonte's career, when the singer was trying to be the next Billy Eckstine. Rugolo orchestrated eight sides Belafonte recorded for Capitol in 1949. Rugolo was 95.
