Victor and lesser numbers made by Columbia and other labels. I'm =
planning to transfer all of these to WAV files, for use on my weekly =
radio show and ease of playback. Some discs are warped so I have to =
deal with that issue as well.

I'm hoping that someone with experience can provide a little guidance. =
I'm assuming EQ of 500/12 (RCA Victor) and 300/16 (Columbia) would be =
about right for playback? Is there any way to discern origin (RCA =
Victor versus Columbia or other labels) by looking at the Matrix numbers =
in the deadwax? There's about 170 discs in total, so I'd really like to =
predetermine EQ rather than listening to each disc and experimenting =
with settings on my phono preamp.

Here's an example of some matrix numbers:

CAT 572a and 572b (Carmen Cavallero, Les Paul Trio)
A: VP-1509 D5-TC-1320-1M
B: VP-1533 D5-TC-1333-1B

CAT 582a and 582b (Frank Sinatra, Martha Tilton)
A: NVP-1623 1B
B: NVP-1665 A

I am aware of the Sears book on V Disc, but it's a bit out of my budget =
at this point. Any recommendations for websites on the topic or other =
sources of information would be appreciated.

Thanks,
