[78-L] What is Up with SONIC

Of course, many of you know that LoC's SONIC is one of the most counter-intuitive, lame-brained interfaces ever designed by man. But lately it seems it doesn't work at all, ever, for anything. You can put in the search term "Ludwig van Beethoven" and it will spin around for hours, achieving nothing. Does anyone know if it is currently broken, why, and when we can expect it to be usable again?
