Ooh, I'll take 'em!

Never hoid of these! I used to have a mint copy of the white label Victor
78 of the Benny Fields-BG "Here's Love in Your Eyes" and "Night in
Manhattan," but traded it to Roger Sturtevant a decade ago - it never turned
up in his collection after he passed away.

I do have Victor 12" 33-1/3 single-sided vinyl tests of "Hooray for
Hollywood" and "Let That Be a Lesson to You," from HOLLYWOOD HOTEL. Both
are longer than the film performances.

Subject: [78-L] Big Broadcast of 1937 tests

I have a private collector friend who showed me four test pressings of music
from "Big Broadcast of 1937" and wanted to know if these had been documented
before. I found nothing in the new Benny Goodman supplemental discography by
David Jessup. The tests have plain white labels and include the following:

You Came to My Rescue - Benny Goodman Band

Here's Love in Your Eyes - Benny Goodman Band

Big Broadcast Opening - Boris Morros Orchestra

Intro to "Your Minstrel Man" - Boris Morros Orchestra

Any information would be helpful. Thanks.

Cary
