In the case of Cole Porter, YES.  In the case of both Cole Porter and 
George Gershwin, they played the piano.  Gershwin also conducted on a 
few recordings, and is also heard conversing with Fred Astaire.  In the 
case of Victor Herbert, he had a band which he is said to have led 
sometimes.

If the made record, of course they belong.  They were not listed for 
just being composers, they were listerd if they were performers on the 
records.

Carl Sandberg should be there.  He included the individual cast members 
of Pins and Needles but ignored The cast of The Cradle  Will Rock and 
The Revuers.  John Hoysradt should be in there -- it seems almost as he 
ignored Musicraft. And how about Dwight Fiske?
