As far as I know, those Silvertones (which also included a lot of Vic Damone,
some classical stuff by Georges Enesco and vocalists like Lisa della Casa) date
from 1946. Many of them were reissued on Mercury lps in 1950. I don't know if
Mercury did the original recording..it's possible, but physically they resemble
Concert Hall and other New York based labels which also used red vinyl.
