[78-L] Transcription swapping?

I've just seen something that makes absolutely no sense. The V-Disc Book says 
that John Kirby's Toselli and Schubert Serenades were originally on World 
4779/4778 and 5059/5068 (correct), and reissued on later on Standard B-127 and 
B-137). Unless I'm missing something, Standard's B series was all Los Angeles 
recordings from the mid 30s, and the lowest number in the Garrod listing is 
900. What's goin' on?
