You did not read carefully enough.

We were specifically using this term ONLY concerning HOME-type machines 
such as the Wilcox-Gay Recordio and Silvertone, which were not 
"lathes"..  AND we used this term concerning the use of these machines NOW.

I specifically mentioned that PROFESSIONAL machines like the Presto 
portables I also had were in a different category.  I challenge you to 
name ONE professional recording studio or radio station which used a 
Wilcox-Gay Recordio in their professional activities.  Even back then 
they would have considered them toys.

This machine is in an entirely different league from a Reordio home type 
machine, and the Apollo disc they recorded on was of the type I 
mentioned would now cost more than the machine he was looking at..  This 
machine IS a lathe, and the home-type machines were not.
