There's a nice YouTube clip of Benny in Sweden in 1972 with Swedish
musicians that would suggest - at least on this occasion - that he was a
very amiable chap who was easy to work and socialise with.

I've never had the feeling that Benny Goodman was a nice person to work 
for/with ;  how does that sit with the truth?
