Benny was the best; one of my all-time favorite musicians. he was also a funny guy. one time, he and his quartet were rehearsing in his home during winter. the members of the group complained to Benny that the house was too cold to play well together. he said, "i'll be right back" then went in the other room. he returned a minute later wearing a sweater . . . funny guy.
