[78-L] Z shellac

I don't know why the Z but it is marked with a Z in the runout.

If looking at a 78, how would it be known that it is pressed on Z shellac?

And why did they call it that? Why not some other letter? Maybe S for 
superior, Q for quiet, W for whisper....
