This performance, with video excerpts presented by Ken Burns and featuring 
musical guests Vince Giordano and Doug Wamble, evokes a time when jazz was 
young and America learned to swing to the sounds of Duke Ellington, Bix 
Beiderbecke, and Jelly Roll Morton.

Free pre-concert discussion nightly, 7pm, The Agnes Varis and Karl Leichtman 
Studio. Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Ken Druker hosts Ken Burns, Lynn Novick, and 
Doug Wamble.   -    Jazz Age Celebration, May 7th, 6:30pm, Atrium. Come early 
to experience 1920s American culture through sound, sight, and taste. 
Participants include Prohibition Distillery, Great Performances, Spoonbread, 
The Coca-Cola Company, Jazz Record Center, Georgina Kelman Works on Paper, the 
Javier Nero Quartet, and swing dancers Heidi Rosenau and Joe McGlynn.

Frederick P. Rose Hall, home of Jazz at Lincoln Center, is located on Broadway 
at 60th Street, New York. Frederick P. Rose Hall can be accessed using the JAZZ 
elevators located on the ground floor of The Shops at Columbus Circle across 
from Hugo Boss, located in the Time Warner Center. You can purchase tickets at 
the Jazz at Lincoln Center at the ground level of the Time Warner Building at 
Broadway and 60th Street. The box office is open: 10am-6pm (During ticketed 
performances, the Box Office will be open an additional half-hour after the 
scheduled start time of the performance.)
