I do whenever possible -- flying is a wretched misery, and I do it a lot.  I had a gig near Indianapolis in late Feb;  every Midwestern airport was shut because of blizzards, but I had warned the concert organizers weeks ahead that would probably happen and they brought me via train from Rochester (with sleepers both ways). The trains kept running while O'Hare was backed up with refugees.   PC

I also prefer to drive but LA is too far for me.  I will be flying -- on
a plane, of course -- from Louisville, and Leah from LaGuardia.  She
actually will get onto my plane in Chicago and we'll arrive together in
LA Tues afternoon!   We're staying thru noon Monday.
