[78-L] Hal Kemp Orchestra 1937 Rejected Recording of 'Roustabout' - Sample Record

The band was even better by the time of Kemp's death, when Lou Busch and Hal
Mooney were arranging for it, and Janet Blair was singing with it (Bob Allen
was still there as well, an underrated singer). The staccato trumpets were
still there, but the arrangers got a rich warm ensemble sound as well. The
band made a short for WB that is on the multi-DVD set of music shorts, and I
was pleasantly surprised when I saw it.
