It's pattern was typical for its time, and typical for Kemp with 
staccatto muted trumpets and clarinet expressions. But we sure lost 
great talent when he died prematurely in a car accident in late 1940.
His band was maligned for lack of talent. I find this unbelievable. I am 
always impressed by the precision. Trotter's arrangements were not 
forgiving.
One of my favorite sweet bands. I played "Got A Date With An Angel" on 
my first date with Marianne, my wife.
