[78-L] Beach Boys 78s

Forgive me, for I have sinned.

Rather than spend expensive gas driving 30 miles into L.A. to try and find a Beach Boys 78 set, I went against what Record Store Day was all about and bought a Beach Boys 78 set on eBay. 'Twas too easy. They've sold anywhere between $16.99 and $79.99 so I used BiddingScheduler and managed to outbid someone by 3 cents at get a set for $26.03. Most are going from between $27 and $30 now. There are 2 78s in the set: the first has the released versions of "Good Vibrations" and "Heroes and Villains" while the 2nd disc has alternate takes of the same two songs. Apparently, independent stores have been selling out of the set since its debut yesterday, but as of now, there are still plentiful supplies on eGads.

For those who say "Bosh, the Beach Boys aren't in the 78 era," I say, "Well, they are now." Any 78 produced today is worthy of our investing in it so I'm glad I snagged one. It's funny that nobody has bothered to unseal the set and scan the actual labels, which I am curious about seeing. We only see the front of the package.
