 Probably the same reason as for many of the old time musicians I enjoy:  if it ain't "jazz", few collect it & fewer want to 
read about it .  When I post about people like Eugene Jaudas, I'm usually just talking to myself.  Dick Robertson gets a 
break because he did record vocals with 'jazz' musicians.
