Ferlin
Husky is "Gone." The country music veteran died today at the age of 85.
This is an early recording of his first hit, which was recorded in 1952
in Los Angeles. A later version five years later helped popularize the "Nashville
Sound," with a vocal chorus and pop arrangement, but this first version, featured a small group of Capitol session musicians: Speedy West, Harold
Hensley, Billy Liebert, and Cliffie Stone. Husky used the pseudonym
"Terry Preston" for this release, a name given to him by Smiley
Burnette. http://picosong.com/LpJ
