Poor guy didn't exactly get the royal treatment, did he?
There just does not seem to be a lot of contemporary info about the hotel or the field trips there. It must have been difficult to find a place willing to put up with all that racket for 12 hours a day, to say nothing of all the disreputable characters coming and going. Nothing on Fowler, either.

David,Kama's records were released through 1946,but his last recording session was February 14, 1940.The war stretched out the last releases.Have you been able to document the Texas Hotel'sbankruptcy? I haven't run across that yet.The Texas Hotel was torn down in February, 1940.Thanks for your help,HankOn Wed, Mar 9, 2011 at 3:25 PM, wrote:> Kama continued to record for Victor through at least 1946 with later> releases in the 25-series.
