Sorry about the clumsy spacing in my post. I cut-and-pasted from an Excel spreadsheet and it didn't translate well to E-mail.

> I did some basic research into my Schwann catalogs and examining items in my collection and was able to put together some info on the RCA Victor "X" series. I was mainly concerned with the series dubbed "Vault Originals," since those involved 78 rpm masters. There appeared to be two series using the "Vault Originals" name, indicated by the prefixes LX and LVA. The LX (10-inch) series began with issue 3000 and continued until 3009. Here are the first ten issues:

> At this point, there appears to be a gap in the series (I have been unable to identify 3010, 3011, and 3012); the series picks up again, now using the LVA prefix. I've identified all but a few of the items in this stretch of the series.

> In addition, there was a 12-inch LVA series, that featured pop/stage performers. I was able to identify the first 10 in this series. Couldn't find any others just yet:

> There are a couple of other series that are worth mentioning, although they are not in the "Vault Original" category. There was a short LPX 10-inch series, of which I identified four issues out of a possible five:

> ...and then also two pop series, beginning with LXA; 10-inch series (starting with 3000), and a 12-inch series (starting with 1000). Some of the LXA pop series issues were initially released on the "X" label, but around 1955, these were switched over to "Vik." It's interesting to note that my copy of LVA 1000 ("Young Bing Crosby") is on X, but later Schwanns show the rest of the 1000 12-inch series as being on Vik, including the Crosby. I don't have any of the others in the LVA 1000 series, so it would be interesting to see if anyone has these and whether they are X or Vik designations. I was mistaken in mentioning, in a previous post, the existence of an "LSA" prefix. This turned out to be a typo in my database for the Pick Temple Cowboy Songs 10-incher, which is LXA-3022. For what it's worth, here's what I found so far for the LXA 1000 12-inch series:
