He's concerned (or was concerned) about one buyer submitting winning bids on all his items and then not paying, which would require him to re-list all the items and pay for the ebay listing fees again.
He's probably been burned before, which is why he chose that setting to begin with.

Ok, here's something I can't figure out from our favorite on-line auction site, ebay.
A seller had 19 records listed separately and I was interested in all of them. Bought some at his price which was higher than I would normally pay as they were overpriced but figured the others wouldn't sell and I could make an offer on the rest. They didn't sell. Being agreeable the seller relists them at buy it now or best offer price and he's accepting my best offer. I'm happy, he's happy and he's doing it "by the rules" and not selling outside of ebay.
Here's where the crazy logic comes in. I buy the first handful at my best offer price and then I get a warning about having exceeded the maximum number of items I can purchase from the seller within the past 10 days! WHAT???
I contacted the seller and he/she said it was a default setting in ebay that he has now removed. I still can't get past it but I'm not asking how to fix it (he's working on that) I'm trying to understand what possible logic is there in stopping someone from buying multiple items from a seller? What seller would not want this to happen and why? I've only reached 10 so far. This is crazy. What am I missing? When did ebay form a seller prevention team to think of these things? OK, maybe that's a loaded question...
Glenn
