I'll add another here! Oddly enough, it's Guy Lombardo; he was the first to
replace the two-beat fast-paced "jazz" of the twenties with a slower, more
"danceable" approach! Within a year or two, the "sweeter" style had
replaced "jazz" on dance records (and probably live playing as well?)...!
