He was scheduled to appear at the IAJRC meeting in London in '05 but bowed out at the last minute. He was just not a very public person.
Why? Because there would no doubt be someone in the audience yelling out, "Why did you leave off the prefixrs of all those Victor matrices?"

I never got to meet him but I did try to tempt hi into coming to the 2001 ARSC/IASA conference in Lindon. I arranged a panel of the ARSC Lifetime Achievement Award winners but even that couldn't get him to travel to London.
