No...I think Steve actually did err...my statement  was that Lombardo was 
just as "locked in" to his style in 1930 as he was at any other point in his 
career.  My second point was that,  regardless of the Lombardo conventions 
which he employed for more than 50 years,  he was capable of playing some 
pretty great music.

I'm sorry if I didn't make myself clear in the earlier post.  If I'm 
mistaken about Steve's statement,  let's hear from him about it.
