I can't speak for the CBC as I am familiar with their AM stations only as well
as their shortwave
station which I've listened to for years. There are many good tv shows I've
picked up via DVD.
Kukla,Fran and Ollie were a bit before my time.Having lived here in the
Southwestern Oregon
coast off and on since 1954,we saw very little of network tv save NBC which was
the only thing
available here.We had just one channel which was KVAL out of Eugene,Oregon. In
1960,KVAL
started up KCBY in  Coos Bay,Oregon. It was off the air more than on.What I do
remember was
seeing "Doctor Hudson's Secret Journal" many times when the hookup was lost
between Eugene
and Coos Bay.I'm more into crime dramas myself.I would like to know just how
good the progr-
amming was up in Canada.

I wish the CBC would get its act together and put out a lot of stuff on DVD.
They might even make money doing it.
