Thanks for the info. The last time I saw Fyvush Finkel was on the tv drama
"Picket Fences" where he played an attorney.I think that may have been the
record I had.The label was green. The records were
rather well recorded:I had a HEP LP of Georgie Auld from 1944(plus a 1945
aircheck from somewh-
ere in Southern California-the song performed was "Sentimental Journey")and some
of those same tracks
were on a Melodie Jazz Classics CD and were shown as being recorded on Apollo. As
I recall,the late
J.R.T. Davies did the mastering job.I bought the HEP LP back around 1983 in a
record store in Beaver-
ton,Oregon(18 miles east of Portland,Oregon). It was Tower Records as I recall.

I have Fyvush's record.."Ich Bin a Boarder Bei Mein Weib". I used it on a
Yiddish compilation years ago (either Intersound or Mastersound). Fyvush is
still alive, by the way, and was seen in "A Serious Man" (Coen Brothers).

I'm sure I have that Kay Kyser around here. I forgot about it being on
Screwballs in Swingtime, which was a really wacky LP. Running off speed, but
still wacky.
