[78-L] Repair of Symposium Cylinder Player

Back in the 1990s I bought a Symposium Cylinder Player (Model 1134) from 
a company that was manufacturing them at the time in England.  It has 
served me well ever since -- until last night when I accidentally 
disconnected one of the two extremely thin wires that run from the 
cartridge through the traverse mechanism.  When I say extremely small, I 
mean it: they are about the thickness of a hair.  And as the wire is 
somewhat inaccessible, reconnecting it may well entail dismantling at 
least some of the machine.  In other words, it's an unusual repair job 
to say the least, and it's unlikely I'd find someone with previous 
experience with a Symposium machine.

Can anyone advise me what kind of specialist I should be looking for to 
get the machine repaired?  I doubt that a run-of-the-mill electronic 
repair shop would be a good fit.  Maybe some kind of scientific 
laboratory?  Someone at a university who might free-lance?  I live in 
the Washington DC area.
