[78-L] Sonora pressing Victors (was New records in the jukebox)

 Listmember Rodger Holtin and I were perusing the dregs of his collection. His copy Victor 20-2476 had an odd, un-Victorish ring around the center hole. The surface had a severe case of shellacne. The telling point was the isue number impressed in the runout; not the usual large, shallow RCA typeface at all but the tiny, deep, sans-serif used by Sonora. 
 Alternative explanations invited (no, it's not a Grey Gull).

What's this about Sonora pressing Victors?
