I still can't figure out why scanner manufacturers put that little lip on there. Maybe it's to protect the glass?? Mal ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I think you'll find the lip is there to ease page allignment. It's quite easy to abut a page to a corner so that it will come out straight on the copy. db
