Uh...no.  If you imagine that the studio bands were  "all using stock 
arrangements" either you haven't  heard very many or you haven't been 
listening.

This isn't really a matter of differing opinions.   This is something about 
which you happen to be wrong.  The fact that you can't tell the difference 
between a Lanin and a Schubert and a Rich just tells me you have little ear 
for (or interest in)  dance bands.  Thanks OK...just don't try to make a 
case without any sound evidence.
