[78-L] Another dance band question

Columbia recorded several excellent bands in Chicago during 1933-24, during
the World's Fair, including Charles Agnew, Earl Burtnett, Ben Bernie,
etc., all of whom were playing long gigs there during the fair.

For all of the above, Rust states that they were recorded in Chicago.

The exception are the four sides by Mark Fisher and his Edgewater Beach
Hotel Orch, which Rust says were recorded in New York. Is that right? I
know Fisher was at the Edgewater Beach hotel around mid-1933. Why would
they haul the band to NY to make four sides when they were recording Agnew,
McCoy and others in Chicago around the same time?

Is there a way to tell from the master numbers where the sides were actually
recorded?

BTW, the Fisher of Black Eyed Susan Brown b/w Lovey is one of my all-time
fave records...hot stuff!

Thanks again from Taylor
