That reminds me, and I just confirmed my memory:  'Foxy' and his girlfriend 
(foxfriend?) sing "Good morning to you" to each other in the 1931 cartoon 
"Smile, Darn Ya, Smile" - to the tune of the Happy Birthday song  !
