I have a Major Records catalog somewhere here.  I only remember seeing sound effects records listed though I could have missed this.  I'll see if I can track it down tonight and search for Paul Bowles.

5160-A is the disc I have with music by Paul Bowles..quite weird, "played and conducted by Max Marlin" by an ensemble consisting of a terrible violinist or two, a hammond organ (probably) and a few other instruments. "MOOD MUSIC--Pastoral or Dream Thematic Music with Menacing Undertones". If Bowles weren't actually an important American composer this would be a tosser. I wonder if there's any more music by him on Major? (The flip side is harp interludes.)
