Many musicians agree with you in that he was the major architect of the 
decline of the music business, pandering (as has always been  typical of the 
record business) to the lowest common denominator. Yes, he was part of the 
Parker wth strings sessions although I don't know what's supposed to be 
notorious about them and also a member of the wonderful Alec Wilder Octet.
