What is with all you guys and FOOD???!!! We no sooner announce NEXT
YEAR'S location and out come the restaurant reviews! Most of the
postings over on ARSC-List for the past month were about food in NOLA.
O my way down there, all my nephew in Bham could talk about were NOLA
restaurants! For the record, Rich Markow, Leah and I ate at a nice
little place across the corner from the hotel named Annette's, and there
was a whole group of other ARSCers already there. In the evening we
found a place on the corner in front of the La State Museum on Jackson
Sq, and Sunday afternoon had lunch at the River View also on Jackson Sq.
None of them pretentious or expensive. And during the conf, if we were
short on time, Leah made some turkey sandwiches from the food we brought
with us. We still have some left over for the drive to Brooklyn in a
few days, but if anyone wants some, c'mon over!
