But AFAIK 40-0010 was never used.
RCA Vic 40-0102/05 in HJ-1 (Armstrong) are the first issues known to me in the 40- series.
Did it start with 40-0100 or -01 and what may that be ??

Last issues seen are 40-0140/43 (Fazola) in HJ-12 (all also on Canadian RCA-Vic),
HJ-10 (Esquire Jazz 2) is 40-0134 (Ellington!)/37 (4x78 I assume).
40-138/9 (Teagarden/Muggsy) have no album nr on the labels.

HJ-11 is Girls in Jazz (which records??)
HJ-13 not known to me
HJ-14 contains 40-4004/... (12" Armstrong; IIRC 3 78s).
40-4001/2 are Esq 1946 Award Winners; were these issued together ??

>>> Probably a misprint from one of the previous posters..40- is the Hot Jazz series (dark green and later black in US, purple in Canada).
