First, as I previously posted in reply to a different message, classical
music is a "totally different animal!" Those who listen to it (and collect
it) do so for entirely different reasons!? Second, the193?-42 music of
the "big band" or "swing" era is both fun to listen to and fun to dance
to...?! As you note, though, there are only a few folks who are going to
the extent of obtaining original vintage 78's thereof; OTOH, a lot of it
has been reissued on CD's and/or LP's.
I still wonder what will eventually become of all the many 78's which
we have collected/accumulated in coming decades...?!
