I remember when diet colas first appeared! They were sweetened
with saccharine; apparently, about 10% of the population can taste
that stuff...and I'm one of that minority! Later, they switched to
Aspartame...which I can't taste...and I started drinking diet cola as
my usual beverage. I find regular colas cloyingly sweet...! I buy
whichever store brands are cheapest...most usually "No Frills"
which is Loblaw's discount branch.

Of course, on week-ends, I switch to beer...?!
