All simmons says of Kathleen Lane: “Phew. Pretty woman is an 
understatement. She was one of the sexiest looking
canaries of the era.”

I don’t pay much attention to singers today, but a few years ago, I 
heard Erin Bode in person and thought her very sexual without her in 
anyway suggesting that overtly. I bought one of her CDs afterwards and 
asked her to sign it: “Geoffrey, I’ll always remember you!” Mrs. 
Virginia inscribed a photo for me with the same verbiage. It’s nice to 
be remembered for at least the time it takes to sign something.
