And packing may not exactly be the culprit. If a record is slightly warped
and then put in a stack of different records which are then somewhat tightly
bound, -crack, even before it's mailed.

Do what YOU'RE most comfortable with but I've mailed 100-200 boxes of up
35 records as far away as Norway and England. Only twice were any
cracked (once Norway, once Carolina) - both RCA's from the '50's... ?
Now I "sandwich RCA's between red Columbias.

good luck, Darrell

know how to pack them safely but about how many would you put safely in a
box before you decide to use 2 boxes? I've received and shipped many
records but I have never received or shipped more than about 20 or so
records at a time. I need to ship someone 31 records. I'm thinking of
splitting it up into 2 boxes. However, I'm thinking that making 2 separate
record "sandwiches" and putting in the same box will probably be fine. What
is your experience?
