I was going to stay quiet on Mr. B but I'll join this pile-on. I've tried
several times to listen to his vocals with new ears and each time my old
ears take over. The only Eckstines I keep are of his "bebop big band" and I
applaud him for putting that band together and working so hard to make it
work. So that's where my admiration lies. Not so for his vocal stylings.
