Mel Blanc co-wrote "Ugga Ugga Boo" (to use its official name in the ASCAP directory) with Eddie Maxwell and Irving Miller. This was the official secret password of the Loyal Order of Benevolent Zebras, a lodge to which Mel belonged on his single-season starring radio show (1946-47) for CBS. More about that here: http://blogs.salon.com/0003139/2004/02/29.html
The Spike Jones record has a vocal not by Mel (who, I think, only appears with Spike on the record and the Soundie for "Clink, Clink, Another Drink") but by an agreeable baritone named Ding Bell, who I can't recall singing on any other Jones records.
