That isn't far-fetched at all -  considering that American Chestnut, Elm, 
and White Oak have mostly been destroyed by either human-imported bugs 
(chestnut/elm - and now Green Ash) or simply clear-cut to near extinction 
(how many 200+ year old oak forests are left?) ...
