A recent post praised Collins & Harlan's "Bake That Chicken Pie," even if it wasn't, to put it VERY mildly, Politically Correct.

Well, Uncle Dave Macon & the Fruit Jar Drinkers did an outstanding "cleaned up" version in May, 1927.

And today, Uncle Doc Wilhite of Calhoun KY does a great job of keeping it going.

"Many veteran Moxie drinkers patiently inform the uninitiated that it takes more than one sip to learn to like it. Often a whole bottle or two must be consumed before the true flavor will come through for the novice. It requires, they claim, an educated palate to appreciate this wonderful beverage...."
