It was Emile Charlap's office, and yes, this is a well-known story, but the
story I heard (from someone who had a desk there) was that the photo was
made up of score pages with the titles of the tunes on first pages of score.
All of them had Byers' name on them. It was quickly recalled.

Interestingly, even though Byers stopped working with Jones over credits on
a movie project, Byers had nothing but good things to say about him. It
seems that Jones opened a lot of doors in Hollywood for Billy. Jones had
quite a few ghosts in those days (including Thad Jones) but Billy was the
top.

His orchestrations for Cy Coleman's shows are another Byers' career
highlight.
