With Buster Moten it is indeed hard to laugh or smile!

Alice Hall did a couple of hip sides for Capitol in 1949. She hums along
with her squeezing a la Slam Stewart.

There's also this side (from Lord 10.0):

Alice Hall
[H457.20-10]
Accordeon Jazz - 1911-1944: The Alice Hall Trio:
Alice Hall (accor) John Strangis (b) Cliff Johnson (d)
Private recording, mid 1960's

What is this thing called love Fremeaux & Associes (F)FA038 [CD]

Note: Other titles by other leaders.

Anyone heard it? Odd that a CD entitled 1911-1944 should include a
mid-1960s track?
