Hello people,
Although I know about few examples with contemporary recordings, I always wonder would nowadays directly cut 78 rpm record, cut on new lathe, on lacquer master blanks available at the moment, with coarse groove, pressed onto 180-240 g virgin vinyl etc, played with "standard" 2.5 mil elliptical needle, be superior in terms of "overall sound" than 45 rpm microgroove record?
Are there any experiments with this format?
Thanks,
Milan
