[78-L] Washing records

I've cleaned quite a few HOW's. I used my drying cloth from washing other records so it's only mildly damp. I slowly go over the record avoiding any splits or edges and gently wipe off dirt. Takes a few minutes per record. There's no residual drops of water so little chance it will get soaked into the record. I then let them sit in racks to completely air dry or lie flat on table. Never had an issue with them getting ruined, more warped, etc.

It MIGHT work but only if you can keep the liquid away from the edge of the
disc so it doesn't soak the paper base and only if the laminate has no cracks
or openings..both impossible to guarantee. If you've ever used a Monks you'll
know that the brush covers a much larger area than the playing surface and that
spillage is impossible to avoid..even more difficult if you're using a clamp to
hold the disc flat.
